Yesterday's post was all about engagements, celebrities and even the royal family. So far today, it looks like no one else is announcing their engagement, which gives us time to show you the "Do's and Don'ts" for this upcoming holiday season. We have been talking about "big and bold" jewelry but now we're going to spice up that conversation up a little bit by adding to it. Our advice? Don't over do it!
Most women know the saying "less is more" and this fall/holiday season, even the stars are following that infamous golden rule.
Don't believe us? We've got examples to prove it!
Take Julianne Moore, for instance; she followed the golden rule and wound up looking absolutely spectacular at the premiere of her latest film. Julianne's dress was a sleek, aubergine, one-shouldered gown that "boasted an architectural neckline." Moore balanced her look so the top of the gown drew attention downwards by pairing her dress with a "bold cocktail ring, as well as a bracelet that coiled around her wrist." Notice how she didn't rock a necklace, because she didn't want to "over do it". And she's not our only example.

According to the Sparkle like the Stars blog, Rachel McAdam's at the premiere of her new film, Morning Glory, in New York City worked the red carpet with a blond bob and long diamond earrings that just barely peeked out from behind her locks.
Do you have any fashionistas on staff? Make sure they're front and center to talk with customers and help make suggestions. It can be difficult finding a happy medium between statement jewelry and the "less is more" school of stylistic thought, so make sure the knowledgeable staff you have is there to assist customers with their purchases. The glowing satisfaction of a stylishly dressed customer is a happy one. And usually, the happy ones tell their friends, come back and spend money.
