Oprah has done it again! What a surprise! 'Oprah's Ultimate Favorite Things' audience members are making out like bandits! Every week a new audience gets one of Oprah's favorite things. The Jewelry Insider blog reports that previous prizes have included a $2,500 Philip Stein watch (accented with 58 diamonds), 1.17 carat Dana Rebecca earrings (featuring 100 diamonds), Judith Ripka earrings made with canary crystal stones and white sapphire accents, and even a trip to Australia! I bet you're wondering what the latest give-a-way is. Oh, well it was only a necklace with an O- shaped pendant decked out with...a genuine PINK DIAMOND! As the largest supplier of pink diamonds, Australia's famous diamond exporter, Rio Tinto, is also involved in this latest generous gifting extravaganza.
According to the Jewelry Insider blog and the AP, "the one-off design uses 'Australian colors' and features seven diamonds including a rare pink Argyle diamond mined from its operations in Western Australia's Kimberley region."
As if the news of the price fetched by the Graff Pink Diamond at Sotheby's in November of this year wasn't enough to rocket pink diamonds to stardom, most woman in America frequently watch the Oprah show. Once they see this episode, they'll be begging their significant others for a pink diamond under the Christmas tree.
Do you have any pink diamond jewelry? Post about it on your Facebook or website. Make sure your customers know that you have what's hot these last few days of shopping before Christmas!
