Last night was the 83rd Academy Awards in Hollywood and, of course, the whole event was a sparkling, star-studded affair. Now that all the statues have been awarded and we've seen so many gorgeous dresses, it's time to talk about the jewelry!
One member of the Red Carpet Jeweler blog team is quite enamored of the unique jewelry choices that showed up on the red carpet this year. For example, Natalie Portman's tassel earrings (left) from Tiffany & Co were unusual but complimented her plum Rodarte gown and mommy-to-be glow perfectly.Another actress who rocked a refreshing change up was Amy Adams (below, center). While we're not entirely sure that the gorgeous navy blue gown she wore was the best match for the equally astonishing 1.35 million dollar's worth of Cartier diamonds and emeralds she paired it with, there's no doubt that she stood out and looked extremely glamorous in the process.
And while we're on the subject of glamorous, new comer Hailee Steinfeld (right) was the pure embodiment of the word. In a pale pink Marchesa gown (that she reportedly helped design!), she accented simply and age-appropriately with a beautiful diamond and platinum Fred Leighton headband.
