If you've seen the TV show 'Mad Men', you've seen Christina Hendricks. The well-endowed redhead is memorable in her own right and that special "it" quality that she possesses made her the natural choice for Vivienne Westwood when looking for a "model for her new jewellery range."
It wasn't only a perfect fit for 'godmother of punk' Westwood, but also for Hendricks, who has been been a fan of the designer since she was a child. She considers the collaboration a "great honour...to be asked to represent the 'Get a Life' palladium jewellery collection. I admire that Vivienne uses her designs to inspire change and the pieces are just so wonderful. The pieces really sparkle under the lights and I cannot wait to wear them on the red carpet."
According to the Telegraph, the new line includes couture and commercial pieces, fashioned from palladium and are "inspired by nature and from symbols of paganism - the acorn, the oak tree and the heart all feature to represent strength, power and hope for change to make the environment better for the future."
We hear at the Red Carpet Jeweler blog are very excited by this new line. The acorn necklace is one staff member's favorite. What do you think of the new Palladium line?
