Red Carpet Jewelers: Going once...going twice...SOLD!

According to Forbes blog, there is a Flaming Yellow 32-Carat Diamond about to go up for auction. Early speculation is that the precious stone is expected to go for between $6 to $8M!

Red Carpet Jewelers: Vivid Yellow Diamond auction at Christie's New York

What makes this diamond so special? It is a Vivid Yellow - "a rare, highly saturated, fancy vivid yellow diamond of 32.77 carats". Christie's New York will feature it as part of their Christie’s New York Magnificent Jewels sale on October 18.

"The Vivid Yellow literally blazes with color, unlike any yellow diamond I’ve ever seen," said Rahul Kadakia, head of Jewelry for Christie’s Americas. "In the world of diamonds, a naturally colored stone of this incredible color and size represents a freak occurrence—an extremely rare geological phenomenon."

Gemological Institute of America is ranking the diamond among the rarest of gemstones in its class.

What do you think of the Vivid Yellow?
